Etchings to Ancient Mythology

Mythologies are a strong source of my artistic inspiration. What fascinates me about them is that their messages are universal and still valid today. The human beings and gods depicted there, their conflicts and behavior patterns: today we find exactly and are surrounded by them as told in the ancient myths.

I am currently working on a cycle of etchings on ancient mythology. It, too, conveys ideas of becoming and change in the world, because there everything is in a constant process. It tells how all living creatures, stones, rivers, stars and other forms have become. But we also find there many images of life, as we meet them today, e.g. Odysseus in his Odyssey, for me the image of modern man.
